Ivannikov Memorial Workshop: a system that automates the full research cycle up to writing a paper

A system capable of automating the entire research cycle, up to writing a scientific paper, was presented at the Ivannikov Memorial Workshop.

The work was presented by Ilya Makarov (AIRI, ISP RAS, Innopolis University) in the section "Data Management and Artificial Intelligence". The system was also discussed at the conference plenary panel and at the project session "Domain AI pilots for the development of scientific research".

The development has already produced a practical result: two scientific papers prepared with its help have been published at leading international A* conferences.

The creation of this system demonstrates a fundamental shift in research activity under the influence of AI: the priority moves from formally satisfying publication requirements to achieving measurable practical benefit. The role of the researcher is being transformed into defining socially and technologically significant problems, while the instrumental part of the scientific cycle will be automated by modern AI solutions,
